NKONTE Local Governance System & Structure
With reference to the Nkonteh constitution, the Nkonteh community is govern by the Chief, who is assisted by different governing organs. The overview of the Nkonteh governing organs is presented below.
The Office of Chief
The Office of Chief represents the head of all the different local governing organs of Nkonteh. The Office of Chief has the authority to lead, rule, govern, and manage the community activities, properties, and people.

Council of Elders
The Council of elders represent the traditional and cultural wing of the Nkonteh community. It deliberates and draft the traditional and cultural legislations of the Nkonteh community.
Judiciary Council
The Judicial council represent the judiciary wing of the Nkonteh community. It resolves disputes in the Nkonteh community with respect to the enact legislative instruments of the Nkonteh community and the laws of Cameroon.
Security Council
The Security Council represent the security wing of the Nkonteh community. It enforces the enacted legislations of the Nkonteh community and secure the community from external, internal, and institutional disorder.
Regency Office
The Regency office represent the socio-political and development wing of the Nkonteh community. It manages and execute the socio-political and development activities of the community.
Women Council
The Women council represent the family wing of the Nkonteh community. It deliberates and draft moral conducts related to customary family building and home management in the Nkonteh community.
Youth Council
The Youth council is the innovative wing of the Nkonteh community. It deliberates and draft innovative ideas about the social aspect of the Nkonteh community.
